About the Role
Rangeland RV is seeking a licensed RV Technician to complement our already wonderful service team. We carry a wide range of travel trailers, fifth wheels, motorhomes, tent trailers, and toy haulers — which means no two days look the same. If you're self-motivated, take pride in your work, and thrive in a fast-paced shop environment, this is your next move. Must be available to work Saturdays.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnostic & Repair
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on RV systems and components to identify issues.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and chassis systems.
- Repair and replace damaged or malfunctioning parts and components.
Preventive Maintenance
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to keep RVs in optimal condition.
- Service and maintain engine systems, brakes, tires, and other critical components.
- Conduct safety checks and address any potential hazards.
Customer Interaction
- Communicate with customers to understand concerns and explain necessary repairs.
- Provide accurate estimates for repair costs and timelines.
- Offer advice and recommendations for RV maintenance and upgrades.
Technical Skills
- Utilize diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
- Interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics for accurate repairs.
- Stay current on the latest RV technologies and repair techniques.
Documentation
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including photos, parts used, and labor hours.
- Complete work orders and service reports accurately and on time.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with technicians and service advisors to ensure efficient workflow.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians as needed.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Keep the work area organized and clean, adhering to safety protocols.
Quality Assurance
- Conduct thorough testing and quality checks on completed repairs to ensure proper functioning.
- Address customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.
